Integrated screenshot capture can be launched by pressing Power and Volume-Down key simultaneously.
This is default settings, but actually it may vary on different devices from different vendors. Some devices, like Sony, require you to press and hold Power button, and then ask you whether you want to take screenshot or turn your phone off. Some require pressing Power and Home button. If you can’t capture your smartphone screen with above key combinations, you have to check your phone manual.
All captured screenshots can be accessed with Gallery app, inside Screenshots folder.

Integrated screenshot capture
(accomplished by holding down the Power and Volume-Down buttons)
Although Android 2 lack this feature, there’s a trick to make a screenshot even on this devices.
Some manufacturers build special screenshot key combinations into their pre-Android 4.0 devices. For example, on many Samsung devices, including the Galaxy Note and Galaxy S II (pre-Ice Cream Sandwich versions), you can press the Home and Power buttons at the same time to take a screen snapshot. On the Galaxy S model, press and hold the Back button and the Power button, or try pressing the Back button and double-tap the Home button.
Different Android 2 devices use a variety of different shortcuts – try to check it in Google and you may find that your device already has a built-in screenshot shortcut that you don’t know about.
